Cho-Hunicke won the 1998 Japan Junior Masters and was a quarterfinalist in the U.S. Girls’ Junior
Championship in 1998. An American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) All-American, Cho-Hunicke was a member
of the French Junior National Team in 1999. She competed in three U.S. Women’s Amateur Championships
(2000-02) and advanced to the round of 16 in the U.S. Women’s Public Links in 2002 and 2003. She qualified
for the U.S. Women’s Open as an amateur twice: in 1999 as the youngest player in the field at the age of 17, and
also in 2002. Cho-Hunicke won two collegiate events and was a two-time All-Southeastern Conference (SEC)
Second-Team selection (2000, 2002) at the University of Florida. Cho-Hunicke also excelled in the classroom as
she earned Third-Team Verizon Academic All-American honors in 2003, was a three-time Verizon Academic All-
District III Team member, a three-time member of the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-American
Scholar Golf Team and a three-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
